Umoja cup thrills Nyakayojo Division residents

There was real competition in different football teams that participated in the Umoja cup that took place in Nyakayojo Mbarara town that left the residents much excited like never before.

It was a one day soccer soccer that saw six teams from different cells of Nyakajo division crashed each other until late evening when the Boys team of Kijengye cell took the win at the finals after beating Kajengye cell.

The gala was organized by a businessman from Mbarara, Kenneth Umoja who is aspiring for the City Division Mayor Mbarara South Division which is composed of Kakoba, Nyamitanga and Nyakayojo Divisions.

It was a day of excitement where locals enjoyed football from both boys and girls teams. There were six teams that participated in Boys football and two teams that participated in Girls football. This Umoja cup took place on Sunday at Kijengye Primary School

Before the soccer ended there was a moment of joy when a senior motor Rally Driver from Mbarara showcased his experience by driving his Subaru N14 around the pitch something that excited locals that had turned to watch and support their soccer teams

According to Umoja as the sponsor, he said that the main intention of organizing such kind of soccer is to promote sports in Mbarara. He assured that he is ready to keep doing the same.

The win of the soccer for the boys was awarded with a goat, the second was also awarded with 100,000= and the third winner was awarded with 50,000=. And then the winner between the two girls’ teams was awarded with a goat too.
