Rwampara East NRM Voters Demo against Ngabirano’s false Declaration

Rwampara. Electorates from Rwampara particularly Mwizi Sub-county have threatened to ‘castrate’ Charles Ngabirano the Incumbent MP for Rwampara if his declaration as a winner in the Rwampara East NRM Parliamentary primaries is not cancelled by the NRM Electoral Commission.

Following the just concluded NRM primaries in Rwampara District, on Tuesday this week locals from Mwizi and Bugamba Sub-county stormed the Rwampara District NRM Offices in Kinono in a mega demonstration seeking for the justice and fairness for their candidate Julius Tusiime who was declared a loser to Ngabirano.

The two had a tight race where eventual winner declared was Charles Ngabirano by the NRM Electoral Commission Boss Tanga Odoi who camped in Rwampara at the tally center for two days a day after voting.

After Ngabirano’s declaration, Tusiime’s camp defied and accused Tanga that he was also compromised by the incumbent Ngabirano to announce the votes in his favor when in actual sense he had lost the election to Tusiime.

When Ngabirano was declared a winner for Rwampara East on Saturday, Tusiime’s camp surrounded the area threatening that Ngabirano will not move out of the building in which the tallying was being held. When Ngabirano learnt that he was being targeted by the angry locals outside building he sneaked out through corridors with security guards and escaped through banana plantations until he jumped into a private car that drove him away from the chaotic locals.

On Tuesday this week, locals demonstrated and blocked the road in Kinoni at the district headquarters. These were led by Tusiime who protested in seek of the justice and fairness. Tusiime wants to be announced as a winner for Rwampara East NRM flag bearer not Nagabirano because he won him in all Sub-counties.
