Museveni directive bites: 52-year-old man arrested over promoting sectarianism

We reported that Museveni orders arrest of a “Fool” who uttered Sectarian Statement

Police in Rwizi region is holding a 52-year-old man for allegedly promoting sectarianism under orders of President Museveni.

The arrested was identified by police as William Tandeka commonly known as Nkeito a resident of Nabuguyo village, kyahi parish in Gomba district.

Robert walugembe –the Rwizi region police commander says that on 28th of December last year, Tandeka while at his relative Mabona Godwin weeding function Kamugira cell in Kirihura District allegedly made sectarian utterances during his speech.

Walugembe reveals that his speech was recorded and circulated on social media especially on whatsapp platform of him drawing lines between Bairu and Bahima.

He notes that Tandeka will appear before kiruhura district grade 1 magistrate and charged with promotion of sectarianism.

Walugembe however warned the public against engaging in acts of dividing people along lines of their religion, tribe and ethnicity.
