More Four COVID-19 case confirmed in Uganda total to 52

Uganda has confirmed four (4) more case of COVID-19 bringing the total to 52.  Out of 300 samples run today at Uganda Virus Research Institute, 296 samples tested negative for COVID-19 while four tested positive.

This was revealed by President Museveni on his Facebook Page Sunday evening. Later Ministry of Health later confirmed the same in tweet.

 All 4 confirmed cases are Ugandans who returned from Dubai, UAE on 22 March 2020. They were under quarantine at the time of test.

The details of the foru cases are:

  1. A 22 year old Ugandan male, resident of Kikokiro, Wakiso District who arrived from Dubai on 22nd March 2020.
  2. A 66 year old Ugandan female, resident of Luzira, Kampala who arrived from Dubai on 22nd March 2020.
  3. A 65 year old Ugandan female, resident of Jinja, Kampala who arrived from Dubai on 22nd March 2020
  4. A 26 year old Ugandan male, resident of Rubaga, Kampala who arrived from Dubai on 22nd March 2020

Ministry of Health statement further clarifies that as of today, 377 individuals have been discharged from institutional quarantine.
