Authorities in Mbarara district have shown concern over the late release of land titles by the Uganda land board.
This was revealed by the Mbarara district chairpersonRtd Capt JB Tumusiime Bamuturaki during the consultative meeting on the assessment of the Ministry Zonal offices that handles land matters held at Mbarara district headquarters Kamukuzi hall.
Bamuturaki notes that issuing land title takes long and the process they execute a lot of money from the applicants requesting the ministry to intervene.
In his response Doctor Chris Baryomunsi the state minister in charge of housing in the ministry says as the ministry they have already identified the problem he also applied for the land title and it took him months to get the title.
He says as the minister if it took long period what common person who doesn’t know the office saying as the ministry they looking into the solution for the problem.
