Mbarara and Rwampara Districts 40.1bn budget passed

Mbarara district today approved 40.1 billion shillings for the next financial year 2019-2020

The council chaired by the speaker Mbarara District Baram Ndyaguma, passed 40.1 billion budget for the two districts of Mbarara and for the newly created Rwampara District with a total share of 17.6 billion and Mbarara district taking 23.6 billion.

While presenting the two budgets in the council meeting held at Rwampala county council hall, the secretary for finance Mbarara district Hon Bazil Batariganya says much of the in Mbarara was put in health where various health centers will be renovated and that of Rwampala much of the funds were located on building up the administration structure.

 He noted that the challage they faced while making the byte was luck of enough source of local revenue such by giving u example of the order by the president to stop collection of revenue from tax parks, even the creation of new town council that took almost all the big source of revenue specially the markets where the revenue was collected from

The chairperson Mbarara district Capt. JB Tumusiime Bamuturaki in his remark asked those who are going to take up the leadership of the newly created district Rwampara to ensure proper accountability of the money allocated to the district.

The area Member of Parliament for Rwampala hon. Charles Ngabirano asked the seven councilors from Rwampala to sit and select the interim chairperson in good manner rather than involving in fight for leadership as this creates bad image.
