Shalifah Nakintu the town clerk for Kabuyanda town council and her treasurer Timothy Twinomugisha are on the spot for allegedly misusing money worth 40 million shillings.
The two officer who were serving in Kaberebere town council reportedly pushed for their transfer to Kabuyanda after messing up the office before it was found out that they spent 40million shillings on the construction of a toilet facility at Kaberebere market that is not in existence allowances, facilitation to councillors among others irregularities.
Patrick Kajumba the area local council three chairperson for Kaberebere town council says that he was surprised to learn that he was among the people that attended the training in question and that some yet to be Identified person had actually signed for him.
Kajumba says that in addition to reporting the matter to police in Isingiro, They have gone ahead to notify the office of the inspector general of government to intervene into the matter. He says that signatures of 14 Councillors were forged.
Shalifah Nakintu the embattled town clerk declined to comment on the matter when contacted by our reporter.
Isingiro district police commander Moses Muzima confirms that the police have the case in question but declined to divulge more details.
