Chinese Knocked dead in Rwebikoona Mbarara City

A Chinese national by names of Lee Limin was today this Wednesday been killed in a fatal accident that occurred during the construction of the road in Mbarara City.

The accident occurred along Kamugungunu road that is undergoing construction in Rwebikoona cell Kamukuzi Division Mbarara City.

This accident happened during the construction of the road where a truck registration number UBD 895N that was being driven by one Kamari Hassan hit and seriously injured a Chinese national who was instructing the truck from behind.  

Limin aged 49 years, was an employee of CICCO Construction Company was immediately rushed to Mbarara regional referral hospital for treatment where he unfortunately passed on from.

According to the police statement released by the Rwizi Region police Spokesperson, Samson Nasasira, the deceased was distracted by his phone as he instructed the truck to move backwards and it ended up knocking him.

The driver, Kamari after realising that he had knocked the Chinese national he took off and is still at large according to police.

The body of the deceased was taken to the mortuary for postmortem at Mbarara Referral Hospital where later was picked by a certain funeral Service Company and taken to Kampala.
