Budo S.S.S wins Uganda Secondary School MDD Competitions 2017

The results were announce yesterday 3rd Sept marking the closure of the music festival that attracted over 40 Ugandan schools and 20 Kenyan visiting  schools.

Different schools staged memorable performance at three different venues i.e Mbarara High School Mary, Hill High School and finals at Ntare School.

Buddo is said to have had good drama, poem and traditional dance all in distinctions, The play had a good setting on stage showing how a teenage pregnant mother suffered after dropping out of school to almost committing suicide but later after birth when she went back to school him and the husband who were all teenagers start up a multibillion brick making company that’s gives them a good life and good living , to the poem which was focusing on taxation, it was also well presented with the students including  all the necessary gestures

It won with 973 Points, followed by Makayi College with 969, followed by Luzira S.S.S in the 3rd position with 949 Points and Bweranyangyi Girls in the 4th position.

Most of the performances were based on the theme of the festival “Harnessing young people’s potential for Uganda’s social economic transformation, ” Uganda’s  Vision 2040, some were on drug abuse, teenage pregnancies, compliance to taxation, violence against Children among others.

Commissioner in the ministry of education, Mr Sam Kuloba announced that the next music festival will be in held in northern Uganda district of Lira.

competitions were also graded at the regional Level where Bweranyangi Girls SS emerged No. 1 in Western Uganda followed by Kibubura Girls SS
